  • Divine Abstractions: Spiritual Expressions in Art

    May 1, 2009 thru July 9, 2010

Sheldon Statewide 2009-2010 explores evolving portrayals of the divine and the impetus to fuse the new realities of science with the sacred in art.

  • Messaging: Text and Visual Art

    May 7, 2010 thru August 1, 2010

This exhibition explores the art of language, specifically how artists – working in various media, styles, and movements – have intentionally employed text in their work and to what end. The interplay of visual political, literary, and social themes with interpretive text creates a whole that transcends both components.
