Sheldon Statewide

The Sheldon Statewide program, now in its 22nd year, is a division of the Sheldon Museum of Art outreach program and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Its mission is to serve Nebraska communities throughout the state by sharing the museum’s outstanding collection of American Art.

  • FROM PARTICLES TO PLANETS, Exploring the Physical in Art

    May 2, 2008 thru June 19, 2009

    The Sheldon Statewide Exhibition 2008-09 examines artists' views of the physical world, from microcosm to macrocosm, from particle to planet. The exhibition of about 25 artworks includes paintings, sculpture, photographs and prints.

  • Divine Abstractions

    May 1, 2009 thru August 2, 2009

    Sheldon Statewide 2009-2010 explores evolving portrayals of the divine and the impetus to fuse the new realities of science with the sacred in art.
